Chapter 25- Attacks
Your P.O.V.
I held my breath underwater and immediately saw Erika, sinking down. I went down to take her but I don't know if my breath could take this long underwater. I pulled her up with all my might but as I already held her hand, I ran out of air.
It turned out that when we were both talking, a flock of Changewings were going towards us, that's why Hiccup screamed. Raven dodge the acid one Changewing blasted but me and Erika weren't holding well so we fell.
I took a deep breath as someone pulled us up. I was still holding Erika's arm. It's called friendship.
"Are you guys alright?" Hiccup asked while my back was on his thighs. I coughed out the water and sat straight up.
"I-I'm alright..." I spoke and breathed in and out deeply. I looked around and I didn't see Erika anywhere. "W-Where's Erika?!" I screamed and stood up. Ase waved her hand and I saw Erika was beside her, not far from where me and Hiccup were. "Oh thank the gods." I sighed out of relief.
I ran to Erika and Ase. "Are you alright Erika?" I asked and she nodded and smiled. I stood up and smiled as well. "Good."
"What happened?" Erika asked.
"Changewings happened." Hiccup suddenly talked behind us. "The attack is actually happening right now. Astrid, Tuff, Ruff, Fishlegs and Snotlout are there, defending of what's left on Berk." He fixed his hair and we all heard a large explosion coming from town.
"Ase, can you take care of them? I'd better go and help them." He was walking backwards slowly, going to his dragon.
Ase nodded and Erika sneezed. I looked back at them and sighed.
"Can I go?" I asked Ase and she just stared at me.
"Are you alright now?" She asked me first. I nodded and ran to Raven.
"Raven, defend them as much as you can, okay? And go to town when you see Toothless' blast fired up in the sky." I brushed my hand on her scaly head. She agreed and went closer to them. She blasted fire on a few branches around Ase and Erika to keep them warm.
I took a last glance at them and I looked at Hiccup. He and Toothless were about to go up.
"Wait! I can help, Hiccup." I screamed which made them both look at me.
"Are you sure? And you're leaving Raven." He spoke.
I nodded and glanced at where Raven was. "I can't risk those baby dragons and I'm sure that's what Toothless would do too. " I smiled at Toothless as he stared at me, probably smiling too.
Hiccup shrugged in agreement and let me ride on Toothless. We shot up in the sky fast and we arrived with a large mess. I jumped off Toothless' back and got my sword from my back.
This sword is my most trusted weapon, next is the bow and arrow.
And this is from my mom. She gave me this when I was 3. Hah, gold memory. But I honestly don't remember my mom. Features, voice, anything. Not gold memory then.
"What the-" I told myself as I saw another Nightfury soaring up the skies. With a rider. "So this was my impostor. You son of a troll. " I spoke.
I ran towards the Changewings that were on land. My eyes widened as I saw one in the middle, wounded. And knowing Changewings, they're always a group.
"Woah woah... don't be afraid.. I can help her..... or him." I shrugged as I thought what gender it might be. I walked closer and when one of then was going to attack me, this impostor, called out to them with a dragon call and they all flew with a heap of stuff from some houses.
But the other one that was harmed didn't fly because well, it was harmed. Specifically at her wing. There was a Deadly Nadder spike on her right wing. Stormfly might have hit her accidentally or you know, on purpose.
"D-Don't be afraid, I wont hurt you as long as we're on the same page." I spoke but my voice was shaky. I've never tamed a Changewing before. They're really territorial so I don't mind them a lot.
The Changewing just growled at me as it saw me walk to it closer. I took a deep breath and tried to at least touch its snout.
But I failed.
It jumped on me and almost hit me with acid but Stormfly immediately pulled me from its grip.
I panted out of nervousness but it went away quick. "Thanks Astrid and Stormfly." I slightly smiled at them.
"Don't mention it." She replied and Stormfly blasted fire near the Changewing so that it'll be afraid or something.
I ran back to it and held my hand out... again.
I won't give up. I need to tame it so that Erika will have a dragon.
Wait, I remembered my mom tamed Changewings before. They aren't really easy to tame. Eh- I don't know. I can't probably tame one.
I breathed out again and walked closer to it. The Changewing almost blasted acid at me when a plasma blast suddenly hit the front of the dragon.
I turned my head where the blast came from.

Sure, Berk had suffered some damage. It wasn't anything the tough men on Berk couldn't fix. Besides, the ice from the Bewilderbeast actually made Berk more defended. The ice built up around the buildings, which could shield them from attacks or bad weather. And knowing the weather on Berk, the ice wouldn't melt anytime soon.
